Rape cases in India

Today i am going to write on that topic which is very very sensitive. That is Rape.

Women security is the main issue after Delhi gang rape case in 2012. But since 2012 to till now govt did not take any major step for this.

I wanna want to know that in only gang rape cases rapist will get the punishment of death. Why india don't have any strict rule on this crime. If i will talk about this i heard that "A decent girl won't roam around at 9 o'clock at night. ... Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things, wearing wrong clothes," Is this the real reason behind that? Can those people give it in written? Can these people give this in written that if girls will not wear western dresses, will not roam around 9 o'clock at night then they will remain safe and if inspite of these things, a single girl has been raped then those particular peoples will be hanged till death? If  not then i will say that no need to give these type of comments.

Some Widely covered Rape casees are as follows:

Aruna Shanbaug Case:

Its a oldest rape case covered by media in 1973. Aruna Shanbaug was a nurse and she was raped a contracted sweeper Sohan Lal Bhartha Walmiki while working as Junior nurse at KEM hospital in Mumbai. Aruna had been living the torture since her assault on the night of 27 November 1973, which left her in a vegetative state. She lost her power of speech, she lost the ability to move her limbs, and underwent partial blindness. Sohanlan choked her by with a dog chain that cut off the oxygen supply to her brain and caused the life-long damage. Her euthanasia plea was rejected by supreme court in 2011 but the landmark judgment was made to allow passive euthanasia in India. She is no more. She died at KEm hospital mumbai on May 18, 2015.

Can those people feel her pain fromm which she suffered from that black night of her life till her death? If not then no need to give the cheap and non logical comments on rape cases.

Mathura Case:

This rape-case is the landmark of Indian women's right movement history. Mathura, a tribal girl, was raped by two policemen in the Chandrapur district  of Maharashtra, in 1972. Initially the policemen were acquitted by the sessions court as the girl was said to have been “habituated to sexual intercourse”. Maharashtra High Court reversed the judgment which was again reversed by the Supreme Court. This shows the inherent patriarchal attitude of the Indian judicial system at that time. Later large protests led to formation of women’s rights group and a subsequent change in the Indian rape law.

Priyadarshini Mattoo Rape and Murder:

Another case was Priyadashini matto rape and murder case. In 1996,  Priyadashini  Matto who was a 25 years old law student raped by Santosh Kumar Singh in her house in New Delhi. Initially the trial court acquitted Santosh but because of media pressure Delhi high court made a landmark judgement and sentenced him to death. Because of media Victim got the justice.

Can anyone tell me that how that rapist and murderer acquitted  by trial court even Priyadarshini not only raped by this man even murdered by this man?

Anjana Mishra Rape:

In 1999, this case was a high profile rape case. Anjana was the wife of a Indian Forest Officer and she had filled a complaint with the CM of Orissa, J.B. Patnaik against the then advocate general of Orrisa, Indrajit Ray, who had attempted to rape her in 1997. Patnaik tried to shield Ray and later in 1999, she was attacked on her way to Bhubaneshwar by three men and was gang raped in front of her friend with whom she was travelling. Indrajit Ray got 3 years imprisonment for attempted rape while the accused among three three were sentenced to life imprisonment after a CBI enquiry and the third one is still absconding.

Soumya Murder Case:

Soumya, a 23 year old girl attacked by Govindachami to rob her in ladies compartment when she was travelling on a train from Erankulam to Shornur in Kerala. He smashed her head against the wall when she resisted, pushed her hands into the gap of a closing door and threw her out of the train. He then jumped out of the speeding train, carried her to the woods near the track and then brutally raped her. She was a supermarket assistant in Kochi. She was travelling back to her home for her engagement ceremony.
Can those people feel the pain of her injuries which gives the nonsense comments on these type os cases just to come in headlines?

Mumbai Gang Rape:

The 2013 Mumbai gang rape,in which a 22-year-old photojournalist, was gang-raped by five persons, including a juvenile, when she had gone to deserted Shakti Mills compound,in South Mumbai, with a male coworker on an assignment on 22 August. Noot only these five peoples raped her, accused took photos also of the victim during the sexual assault, and threatened to release them to social networks if she reported the rape.

Bhanwari Devi Gang Rape:

In 1992, Bhanwari Devi was gang raped by 5 high caste men of her village, when she raised her hand against child marriage. She was a grassroots level worker in Bhateri village under the WDP in Rajasthan. This case is very important link for the women’s rights movement in Rajasthan and India.

Can you guys tell me that Bhanwari devi raped because she wore western dress or she was raped because she roam after 9pm, no, she was raped because she was against child marriage. So please grow up and try to find out the real reason behind this type of cheap activity.

Scarlett Keeling Rape and Murder:

Scarlett, 15 years old, British schoolgirl raped and murdered by her 25 years old Indian boyfriend. she was a British tourist visiting India with her family, and she was raped while her family travelled along the coast. She was sexually assaulted and left for dead on a beach in the Indian holiday state in February 2008 after taking a cocktail of drugs.  The media covered this story as everybody ganged up against the bohemian lifestyle of her family and blamed her mother for her carelessness. It shows that how in India most people still believe that "bad" women deserve getting raped.

Can those peoples give this in written that their daughter or sister or wife never did anything bad or their lifestyle doen't come in this category?

Imrana Rape Case:

That case of  a 28-year-old Indian Muslim woman who was raped by her father in law in Uttar Pradesh and the village elders treated it as a case of adultery instead of rape.Village elders ordered  Imrana to leave her husband and consider herself married to her father in law.The village elders and subsequently, several levels of Islamic legal opinion regarded Imrana's marriage with her husband null, as the Sharia regards sexual relations with both the father and son as incestuous.Imrana, a mother of 5 children raped by her 69-year-old father-in-law Ali Mohammad.
After lot of media pressure and Imrana efforts she got justice as her father in law was sentenced to a term of 10 years of imprisonment.

Yes, where is that western dress drama in this case? The reason behind rap is only and only the accused mentality nothing else.

Delhi Gang Rape:

In 2012, a 23-year-old, female physiotherapy intern, Jyoti Singh, was beaten and gang raped in a private bus in which she was travelling with her male friend, on 16 December 2012 in Munirka, a neighbourhood in South Delhi. including the driver they are 6 people who raped her and beat her male friend. She was brutally raped and injured by inserting an iron rod in her vagina. After 13 days the assualt she was transfered to a hospital in Singapore for emergency treatment, but died from her injuries two days later. That rod was later described by police as being a rusted, L-shaped implement of the type used as a wheel jack handle.

Can anyone tell me that is Jyoti Singh weared that much worst clothes that these peoples inserted a iron rod in her vagina? To roam at 9 pm is that much big mistake that these peoples got the right to insert a rod? No these are only excuses and these peoples support rape in india. if a girl wore western dress that doesn't mean that people got the right to rape that girl.

Swine Flu symptomes, Causes and Home Remedies to avoid Swine Flu

Swine flu, also known as the H1N1 virus, made headlines in 2009 when it was declared a pandemic. Pandemics are contagious diseases affecting people throughout the world or on multiple continents at the same time. H1N1 has already been seen in 74 countries across the globe. This viruses infect the respiratory tract of pigs and result in a barking cough, decreased appetite, nasal secretions, and listless behaviour; the virus can be transmitted to humans.

The symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of other strains of seasonal flu:

  • Temperature over 38C/100.4F
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Headache
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath or cough
  • Loss of appetite
  • Aching muscles
  • Diarrhoea
  • Vomiting

Things For the people who are sick to help yourself get better and prevent the spread of the virus by doing the following:

  • Don't go for work or scholl if you are sick. Need to stay at home.
  • Sick people should stay at least 1 metre away from other people.
  • Take rest and drink plenty of fluids.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and throw your used tissue in the garbage. If you do not have tissue available, cough or sneeze into your sleeve or hands, away from others and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water throughout the day and make sure to wash your hands with soap for at least 15 seconds. If you don't have access to soap and water, Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

There are ways to protect yourself from catching the swine flu virus:

  • You should avoid close contact with people who are sick and who have symptoms of swine flu (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat).
  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly. To ensure proper sanitization, you should wash your hands with soap for at least 15 seconds. Use alcohol-based sanitizers if hand-washing is not convenient same as above i have mention.
  • Get an annual influenza immunization (flu shot). This may not protect you from swine flu, but it can prevent some strains of human influenza. This helps avoid the situation of becoming infected with both swine and human influenza at the same time.
  • Practise good health habits such as getting enough sleep, eating a nutritious diet, and staying physically active.

Home Remedies for Swine Flu:

1. Have five duly washed leaves of Tulsi (known as Basil in English; medicinal name Ocimum sanctum) everyday in the morning.
2. A small piece of camphor (kapoor) approximately the size of a tablet should be taken once or twice a month.
3. Those who can take garlic, must have two pods of raw garlic first thing in the morning.
4. Those not allergic to milk, must take a glass of hot or lukewarm milk every night with a small measure of haldi (turmeric).
5. Aloe vera (gwarpatha) too is a commonly available plant. Its thick and long, cactus-like leaves have an odourless gel. A teaspoon gel taken with water daily can work wonders for not only your skin and joint pains, but also boost immunity.
6. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich Amla (Indian gooseberry) juice.

Be careful, Be Healthy.

Worshipping while Menstruating

Womens are considered ‘maila’ or impure during their monthly periods. They are typically encouraged not to cook or to perform puja.

There is no restriction on Lingayat women who follow the teachings of Basaveshwara,  perform pujas and chant vedas even during their periods. There is no restriction on mleccha or foreign women who chant vedas whenever they believe it is right.

Therefore this discussion mainly concerns those women who want to perform puja and chant vedas everyday.

In our olden days, women had to fetch water from wells. They had to work the chakki (can’t remember right now what’s the English word for it) to make flour. Basic lifestyle required more physical strain than today. plus, the normal furnishings in the houses used to be silk & velvet etc. And with no dry cleaners or sanitary pads, this practice made perfect sense, both from the rest point of view, as well as for the materialistic benefit.

The vedas are embodiments of the devas. When I can see Surya Deva and His rays can touch my face, why can I not chant a mantram in which he is embodied?

When Vayu Deva, enters and exits my lungs freely as prAna and apAna, why cannot I chant a mantram which embodies Vayu using my lungs and voice box?

When Varuna resides in me as 70% of my body weight and when I can drink water and sweat it out, why cannot I chant a mantra that embodies Varuna?

When Agni resides in my stomach as Vaiswanara, Jatara Agni and digests all the food I eat, why cannot I chant a mantram that embodies Agni?

Conclusion : It is my view that as long as a brahmin woman stays clean and takes adequate rest, and as long as she is not distressing herself emotionally and physically, as long as she can focus her mind on brahman and not on other people’s minds, she should be fine, performing puja visiting temples and chanting vedas. No Sin will Accrue to Her.
Out of respect for the feelings of elders at home, if you choose to stay out that is fine… because then you are practicing ahimsa. If you yourself feel unclean, and would like to stay at home away from temples, that is also fine. But be gentle with yourself. If the situation requires that you participate on some religious function and so forth, remember that no sin will accrue to you.

Best Prime Minister Of India Till 2013

Atal Bihari Vajpayee

  1. Foreign Policy: Vajpayee's foreign policy successes are many. He led India to a victory over Pakistan in 1999 in Kargil and more importantly, he US began to recognize India's position against Pakistan. Relations with China also normalised.
  2. Economy: The economy stabilised by the time he took over in 1999 and started an unbelievable growth trajectory. He firmly supported disinvestment, but not blind privatisation. As Manmohan Singh said at a recent rally, the economy grew at 5.6% during the Vajpayee tenure, indeed a very impressive growth rate.
  3. Home Affairs: This is where the Vajpayee Government had its failures. It failed to check the VHP's protests in 2002 in order to celebrate the demolition of the Babri Masjid. He also failed to take any concrete action against Narendra Modi's Government. You may argue that he upheld democracy by allowing the people to judge - and it thus remains debatable wher you can blame him.
  4. Biggest Embarassment: The Tehelka scandal rocked his ministry and the Coffin scandal involving George Fernandes portrayed his ministry as quite corrupt.
  5. Biggest Advantage: He's a 10 time Lok Sabha member and has won the "Best Parliamentarian" award. I am pleased to put a distinguished parliamentarian on top of this list.
P V Narasimha Rao

The another best PM is P V Narasimha Rao, the ninth Prime Minister of India.

Known as "Chanakya" (for his ability to manipulate political decisions, bring persuasive reform and legislate ruthlessly), Rao took over the reins of a singularly unmanageable India and saved her from bankruptcy, initiated reforms to strengthen foreign policy, quelled several separatist movements in Punjab and Kashmir and instituted India's first decisive anti-terrorism legislation. Here's why:

1. The Father of Indian Economic Reform: India was on the brink of certain economic doom in 1991. Socialist policies that kept India in poverty for 45 years - including the failed "Garibi Hatao" policy of Indira Gandhi, "License Raj" driven economic planning and failure to open the Indian economy to foreign investment - ensured that India's GDP stagnated at 3.5%. PVNR appointed Manmohan Singh as finance minister, who initiated the economic liberalization of India.

The License Raj was dismantled, foreign direct investment encouraged, import duties reduced, and India's growth rate reached 7.5% in 1992.
All this was done via a series of carefully instigated measures, which even prevented the threat of massive layoffs of Govt workers and factory employees. Even today, Manmohan Singh testifies that he could have achieved very little without Narasimha Rao's backing.

2. The "Look East" foreign policy: The Narasimha Rao government also initiated the Look East policy as a means to strengthen foreign policy relations with United States, but quickly shifted focus to building relationships with ASEAN countries. Today, India enjoys the benefits of economic integration and bilateral trade with nations like Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc in sectors such as Science & Technology, Health, Space Research, Agriculture, etc, thanks to the initiation of this policy.

3. Elections for Punjab: Rao inherited India during the time of deep threats of separatist movements in Punjab and Kashmir, with widespread bloodletting. Narasimha Rao turned his attention to Punjab in 1991, first. He appointed KPS Gill as head of police who helped bring the insurgency under control. His insistence that elections for Punjab be held, in March 1992 (and later on, the municipal elections in Sept 1992), despite producing a narrow electorate base, helped with the emergence of moderate politicians, including eight Akali Dal sponsored candidates for the elections.

Even though he is criticized (rightly) for the failure to act decisively during the Babri mosque's demolition, P V Narasimha Rao's contributions are what helped India re-invent herself for the 21st century.

Today, even his own party considers his name unmentionable, and Indians often diminish his achievements, their view-points largely distorted because of the horrible massacres that followed Ayodhya, (despite Rao being exonerated by the Liberhan Commission, later) and several corruption scandals (most notably, the Harshad Mehta scandal). Rao, the unsung hero in the story of New India, died a penniless man and has been forgotten by most of India today.

Most Controversial Babas in India

1. Swami Nityananda

Paramahamsa Nithyanand , who is known as a spiritual Guru from Tamil Nadu, shocked India recently when he was seen in a shocking video in bed with an actress from Tamil movie industry. Cases of rape, criminal intimidation and cheating among others have since been filed against the Godman based on various complaints. He was later arrested in Himachal Pradesh and is presently serving sentence in jail.

He was earlier arrested for prostituition in a massage parlour in 1988. Swami says that he suffers from Scizophrenia and has a dual personality (Namaste Aparichit saab!). He also believes that he is unaware of what his 'evil twin' is capable of

4. Santosh Madhavan

He was a priest in the temple and also was an astrologer, who is now in the most wanted list. He was arrested in 2008 in Alappuzha of Kerala. A woman from Dubai put forth a case against him stating that he had cheated her to the extent of 50 lakhs. Also a rape case was alleged on him regarding a 15 year old girl. He is running an ashram by name Swami Amrutha Chaitanya.

What is Swine Flu, its symptoms and Precautions

In recent flu seasons, swine flu has spread from person to person. The official name for it is ‘novel influenza A (H1N1).
Symptoms of flu: are a high temperature (over 38C) and at least two of the following:
  • Widespread muscle and joint aches
  • A cough
  • Headache
  • Blocked or runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting
  • Watery diarrhoea
  • Cannot stop crying (only children)
How can I prevent swine flu infection?
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. Scrub for at least 20 seconds and rinse thoroughly.
  • If soap and water are not available, wash your hands with an alcohol-based hand gel. Rub your hands together until the alcohol dries completely.
  • Avoid close contact -- that is, being within 6 feet -- with people who have flu-like symptoms.
  • Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes. That's not easy to do, so keep those hands clean.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms -- fever plus at least cough or sore throat or other flu symptoms -- stay home for seven days after symptoms begin or until you've been symptom-free for 24 hours -- whichever is longer.
  • Wear a face mask (consider using an N95 respirator) if you must come into close contact with a sick person. "Close contact" means within 6 feet. Note: There is no definitive proof that a face mask prevents flu transmission. Do not rely solely on a face mask to prevent infection.
  • Wear an N95 respirator if helping a sick person with a nebulizer, inhaler, or other respiratory treatment. Note: There is no definitive proof that a respirator prevents flu transmission. Do not rely solely on a respirator to prevent infection.
  • People who have or are suspected of having swine flu should wear a face mask, if available and tolerable, when sharing common spaces with other household members, when outside the home, or when near children or infants.
  • Breastfeeding mothers with swine flu symptoms should express their breast milk, and the child should be fed by someone else.
